Kamal Haasan to participate in Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Kamal Hassan will head a discussion on media and entertainment at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas which is to be held in Chennai from 8th January to 9th January. Over 1,500 delegates, from 40 countries would be entertained with mega cultural shows of Tamil classical and folk dances. India's first ever policy on migration will also be unveiled at the conference, according to highly placed sources in the government. 'Engaging the Diaspora - the way forward' is the theme for the PBD, one of the biggest events aimed at involving Indians abroad in the economic development of the country. Leading personalities like Sam Pitroda, P.T. Usha, C.K. Prahalad, Sashi Tharoor and many others are expected to address the NRIs/PIOs on various topics. "Special tour packages, offered by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation, before and after the conference are available for the registered delegates. The cultural events will include programmes from Bollywood and exclusive folk art forms of Tamil Nadu.
