A Portuguese Film Festival where noted films by contemporary Portuguese directors will be screened is being organised by Indo Cine Appreciation in association with Embassy of Portugal and Cultural Centre New Delhi The five-day film fest is scheduled to start on 21 September. The inaugural film Call Girl directed by António-Pedro Vasconcelos is the story of a powerful entrepreneur, who wants to build an exclusive resort hotel in Villanova but discovers that the location he has in mind is protected by local land-use regulations. Not one to give up, he even hires a prostitute to persuade the mayor. His encounters with bureaucracy form the crux of Call Girl. The films scheduled on 22 September are Black and White and Octane. On 23 September, the films Dot.com and Bad Blood will be screened. The Mystery of Sintra by Orge Paixão da Costa and April Captains by Maria de Medeiros will be screened on 24 September. The concluding film is The Uncertainty Principle directed by Manoel de Oliveira. It is the story of a widow, who remarries and starts a new family. All the films will be screened at South Indian Film Chamber Theatre. Anytimechennai News Team
