T C R is producing a film titled Kanden under the banner Sri Shiva Selvanayagi Movies. Shanthanu, Rashmi Gowtham, Santhanam, Vijayakumar, Ashish Vidyarthi and Muthukalai are starring in this film. Prasad T Mishal is handling the camera while Vijay Ebenezer composes the music for the lyrics penned by Vaali. Thamarai, Ravindran and play back singer Krish. A c Mukil who as written the story, screenplay and dialogues is directing this film. 60% of the shooting has been completed and the film is likely to hot the screens in the month of September. |

The Central Board of Film Certification Regional Officer D. Rajasekar was arrested by the CBI officials for having received Rs. 10,000 bribe for viewing and certifying a film for release of the film Kadhal Solla Vandhen directed by Boopathy Pandian. Govindarajulu, executive producer of a film, lodged a complaint with the CBI's Anti-Corruption Branch that Rajasekar demanded Rs.10,000 to view the film and issue certificate.The complainant had paid the mandatory fee of Rs. 25,000 on Tuesday and approached the official for clearing the movie.Claiming that there were many movies in the queue for certification, Rajasekar allegedly insisted that he would not see the movie unless Rs. 10,000 was paid as bribe. |

But later on director Kamaraj explained to me that my role was not of a sex worker and I was a innocent girl kidnapped for this purpose. Then only I agreed to act in this film.”
