Post offices declared as tobacco free zones |

Director of Public Health S. Elango has declared nearly 12,170 post offices across the State as tobacco-free zones while inaugurating the Tobacco-Free Chief Post Master General's Office on Anna Salai and a workshop on tobacco control for postal officials. Police stations and prisons in the State have also declared their campuses as tobacco-free. Universities, other educational institutions and embassies have also been requested to make their premises tobacco-free.
