Mobile ATM service from Indian overseas bank was launched by Deputy CM M.K. Stalin on Monday. The
service is to serve the Bank’s customers in north Chennai where the number of stationary ATM outlets was less, said S.A.Bhat, chairman of the bank. The service would be improved depending upon the response. T. Thenappan, IOB GM Chennai region said that out of the 71 ATMs in the city, 20 ATMs were in north Chennai. There would be an armed guard for the mobile ATM outlet, which would be insured too. It would be available in Royapuram (near St. Theresa School), Washermenpet (NPL Agasthaya apartment), Parrys’ Corner (Madras High Court), Vyasarpadi (TNEB office in Kannadasan Nagar) and Wall Tax Road (Rettapailliar Koil Street).
